Hi, I’m Christine Pretgard, CSW
Reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re already carrying anxiety, depression, trauma, or OCD. You may feel stuck in patterns that don’t make sense, or like your mind and body are working against you. You don’t have to navigate that alone.
I work with teens, young adults, and families who are looking for a space where they can feel truly seen, understood, and supported. My approach is both compassionate and practical. I want you to feel safe enough to be honest, and supported enough to make real, meaningful change.
I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). For clients interested in trauma-focused work, I am also training in EMDR and thoughtfully incorporate those principles as I continue to grow in that modality.
In our work together, we will not only explore what you’re experiencing, but also build tools to help you respond differently—whether that means learning how to tolerate anxiety, gently face fears, process past experiences, or better understand the different parts of yourself.
My goal is to create a space where you feel held, respected, and empowered, not rushed, judged, or overlooked. Healing doesn’t happen all at once, but it does happen in the presence of consistency, understanding, and the right kind of support.
If you’re ready to begin, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
